Mitsubishi LT-40134 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review from ILuvHiDef. DON’T BUY IT, Awesome tv! I was ready to purchase the Samsung 37″. However, I was a bit put off by its shiny (i.e., distracting) high gloss frame. Then, I found that the Mitsubishi 40″ was the same overall size as the Samsung 37″ and the Mitsubishi’s bezel is so small its almost invisible!
The Mits 40134 is definitely the way to go over the stripped down 40133. The 134 has dynamic contrast enhancement while the 133 does not. It also has “edge detail enhancement processing” which really does work. You can clearly see the difference even in the menu display while turning this feature on/off. Also, the 134’s remote command feature provides 2, wired, InfraRed transmitters which allows the 134 to control other devices such as your cable box and DVD. I haven’t yet used the 134’s “TV Guide” capability so I can’t comment on that.
If you do get this set, I recommend that you switch it from the default “Brilliant” picture setting to “Normal”.
